14. What we verified directly, and what we still could not

The college's own admissions website (medical.dpu.edu.in) initially blocked this page's research tools from reading most of its pages. Reading the college's own "Government Approval" page directly resolved a claim several aggregator sites had been repeating without a real source: that this is "the first medical college in Maharashtra and third private medical college in India recognised by NMC for 250 seats." We could not confirm that specific superlative, but we did find something more precise and more useful — the college's own uploaded government letters, arranged year-wise from its inception:

• Founding permission (13 October 1995): the Government of India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare approved "a new medical college for women at Pimpri," under Section 10A(4) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 — the earliest document the college has on record. It is coeducational today; we have not found the document recording when that changed.
• Most recent seat renewal (10 June 2024): the National Medical Commission's Undergraduate Medical Education Board renewed the college's 250 MBBS seats for AY2024-25 — but only after a show-cause notice over deficiencies found in the college's Annual Declaration Form, exam video and AEBAS report, and a virtual hearing. The renewal letter states re-assessment can happen "at any point of time" and non-compliance can trigger a seat reduction or penalty under MSMER-2023. This independently cross-validates the 250-seat figure from MCC's seat matrix (section 6) from a completely different official source.

Two things are still genuinely unsourced despite trying:

• Placement, internship or NEET-PG outcome data. MBBS colleges do not publish "placements" the way engineering colleges do. The closest genuine proxies — hospital bed count, patient footfall, NEET-PG performance of graduates — were repeated across several aggregator sites (including Collegedunia, which this site never uses as a source) with no primary document behind any of them that we could independently open and read.
